ENABLE HIGH QUALITY UPLOADS Whether you're a personal or professional page, enabling high quality uploads on IG means your content will stand out while meeting the expectation you have for your brand. **Go to IG Profile, click the three lines in the upper right corner, click preferences, click data usage, and ensure your settings look like this:
DOWNLOAD YOUR FILES ON SOLID WIFI (SAME GOES FOR POSTING) Whether your downloading to your phone, laptop, or iPad, make sure you have a good WIFI connection first. This will avoid a decrease in quality of your content. (also check wifi strength before you actually post!)
PREVIEW YOUR CONENT BEFORE POSTING Now that your content is on your device, make sure it looks and sounds razor sharp. If so, move on to step 3.
POST FROM YOUR PROFILE Go to your profile page and click the + icon. Select your content but make sure IG hasn't cropped in on the video. Our content is framed and exported specifically for IG and should not be cropped. See icons:
DECIDE BETWEEN REEL OR POST Posts: The two most important ranking factors are information about the post and information about the account. In other words, posts are a better choice for connecting with followers who regularly engage with your content. Reels: The two most important ranking factors are the user's activity and interaction history. In other words, reels are more important for connecting with non-followers who may be interested in your content.
WRITE AND REFINE Write your caption, tag people, tag location, and add hashtags (I recommends adding 3-6 hashtags). Every added tag helps build post distribution. **Don't forget to set your main thumbnail and grid thumbnail!
POST AND CHECK **Only certain items can be editing from a live post! Once you've tapped post and IG has finished uploading, check your post for all points mentioned above. If anything is wrong, edit your post if able. If a critical error is made, delete your post asap before interactions begin and start the post process over.
DON'T TAP THIS!
